Biography
Mike Rainone
Mike Rainone is a singer/songwriter/guitarist from New Jersey. He’s been playing in both original and cover bands
since 2001. His original bands are Shadow Box and Mind Riot. His cover outfits consist of anything from solo/duo/full band.
Recently, Mike has been collaborating on various projects (both cover and original) with Mike Roman, also of Shadow Box.
Mike’s uncle, Mick Seeley, was an early inspirational force. Watching him perform with Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Southside
Johnny, Dan Hartman, and various acts caused an instant spark in Mike’s early musical development. From this spark came Mike’s
desire to perform himself, leading him to start learning guitar in 1999. From this point he began cultivating his style from
artists such as Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Jimi Hendrix, The Eagles, Metallica, Pantera, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The
Dear Hunter, and many more. Mike has played in various bands in the last 20 years opening for acts such as Overkill, Fuel,
Leslie West, Kings X, and Yngwie Malmsteen.
